sansai a écrit :Well then, although I'm pretty sure romjet already has all those elements, let me launch the editor and go through the hassle of pointing out everything I can think of which should be fixed :
Staff transfers :
- Jacky Bonnevay has been released, he was out of contract. Good riddance of a terrible educator.
(fiche footballdatabase.eu)
- Vincent Bracigliano has been released too. He is now retired of football and is taking care of a bar/restaurant.
("On reviendra également sur son expérience nantaise entre 2000 et 2011")
- Joel Bichon now works for french lower amateur league club Orvault RC. Said so himself.
("Bichon, il ne travaille pas pour Toulouse, il "travaille" pour Orvault RC !!!! De source sûre, lui....")
- Julien Le Pape (09/04/1981) has been signed as a fitness coach for the youth teams. (
fcnantes.com : "Les U19 Nationaux du FC Nantes lors de l'échauffement dirigé par Julien Le Pape ")
- Philippe Mao, from Angers SCO, is the new U19 coach (
fcnantes.com : Philippe Mao : "l'aspect collectif est primordial")
Staff facts :
- Samuel Fénillat is not only the director of the youth academy, he is also the U17 educator. He should be included in the working staff in my opinion, especially since a "director of football" is of no (visible) use to us, and he's done a great job as an educator past few seasons, as a FC Nantes manager you do want to be working with him rather than with some unknown recruit who isn't related to Nantes at all.
- I'm not sure Alain Merchadier works anymore for Nantes. The only thing I'm sure of is that he hasn't done anything worth mentioning since he's been signed, and he could aswell be deleted from the database. Any second-hand recruiter working from time to time with FC Nantes in the southwest of France or in Paris has provided more than him (not one player recruited as far as I know).
Players transfers :
- Ernest Akouassaga left on an end of contract. He's unemployed atm
("UNFP : [...] Ernest Akouassaga (Nantes) [...].
- Jean-Jacques Mandrichi has joined Chateauroux on the 4th of October 2011, on a free transfer. His FC Nantes contract has been terminated. He signed a two-years deal.
("Mandrichi : à peine arrivée, déjà reparti")
Oh and by the way, I think such a solid Ligue 2 player, who always provided 10-15 league goals for the past five L2 seasons (!), deserves more recognition and a better rating, as a very strong targetman and a good finisher (125+ CA).
- Aristote Lusinga is out of contract. He's only been training at la Jonelière after unsuccesful trials with various clubs.
("Quand Aristote revient de nulle part à Guingamp")
- Christophe Guazzelli has had his contract terminated in january 2011. He's probably quit professional football for all I know - he was unfit for it anyway, on every possible level.
- Sunny Majeri has been fired last winter, around the same time.
- same goes for Christophe Bellus.
- Kévin da Silva has been fired in the beginning of september 2011.
- David Langevin resigned and left (about a month ago). He is believed to have signed for amateur side ASPTT Nantes (
forum.footnantais.com).
- Yacine Houasni has left the club. He is believed to have signed for Paris FC (U19 squad probably), but I can't confirm that information.
- Thomas Lindau has left the club. No idea of his whereabouts, but he barely ever played at Nantes, wouldn't be a huge loss for the database in my opinion.
- Florent Pasquier plays for Vannes OC now, he turns up for their reserve squad and often trains with the senior squad (
"Deux nouvelles recrues pour la CFA2").
- Adrien Bommé left for Vannes OC too.
- Adrien Chastan now plays for Clermont Foot reserves (
clermontfoot.com : "CFA2, photo officielle 2011-2012 : [...] Adrien CHASTAN [...]").
- Florian Masson is now n°2 goalkeeper for US Concarneau, french CFA (
usc-concarneau.com : "Gardiens : [...] NOM: MASSON PRENOM: Florian").
- François Campo now plays for french CFA side Pau FC (
paufc.fr > effectif > onglet "défenseurs" > NOM : CAMPO PRENOM : François).
- Thomas Dos Santos has left the club on a free. Currently without a club.
- Kemokho Cissokho has been transferred to Saudi Arabia outfit Al Fateh Al Hasa for 100 000 € (
footballdatabase.eu ;
transfermarket.asia).
- Youri Coutin (right winger/attacker, born on the 1st of April 1994) has been signed from Ligue 1 outfit Stade Brestois 29. Brest still doesn't have a proper youth academy so Nantes was able to sign him on a free, just like Lorient did with Mathias Autret... He's been deemed one of Brest's best youngsters but I don't know much more about him right now.
("deux départs de jeunes brestois")
- Florian Raspentino, a natural striker (17 goals at CFA level last season with Agde), has been signed (for the CFA2 squad for starters, but with a vision to make him fit for the first squad). He quickly broke into the first team due to late recruitment in the first team, and has earned his spot after good performances (and a decisive goal).
He mostly plays as a winger/inside forward so far, and is adapting fast and well to that role. He's got pace, he works hards, defends well, moves well on the pitch, shoots well, and he can break the offside trap like few can.
(fiche foot-national.com)
- Saad Trabelsi, offensive midfielder/winger, has been signed for the reserve team with a vision for the first team too. He's getting better by the minute and his last game was very satisfying : good dribbler who can also pass the ball well at the end of a run, he's one of the players to follow in Nantes' reserve, and who are hoped to be up for the first team in the medium term.
(fiche foot-national.com)
- Jason Henry is a rather fast-paced and technical "8" (or box-to-box MF as you call them), formed at Montpellier, and which we recruited after a brilliant season at Romorantin at CFA level. Another one of the bets for the seasons to come for the first team. He can also play on the right side.

Players facts :
- Jeong Chung Gun, south korean striker, is training with FC Nantes since last Montaigu tournament. The presence of Yong Jae Lee and the failure to sell Djordjevic apparently mean he cannot be qualified for Nantes at the moment, but he's still at the club and has already trained with the first team several times despite his beeing only 17 yo.
A 1994-born fast paced pocket striker with good skill on the ball (excellent execution pace), decent finishing ability and good positioning, he's impressed all observers at last Montaigu U17 World tournament.
Wonder if there's anything to do about him in the database since he can't be qualified for now.
I can't find any press article about him (korean sources tell us he lived in a small town in South Korea and has only been "discovered" very recently - partly explains why such a talent can end up in Nantes, he is said to be on par with the likes of Wesley Saïd or Erwin Ongenda).
- Aristote N'Dongala is arguably one of the biggest Nantes talent of the last decade. He's impressed a lot at Montaigu too, and observers rejoyced when he was signed thereafters. Fast, powerful, skilled, clever, he plays a clever, simple and efficient game, and already seems to have everything needed to reach at least Ligue 1 level if everything goes well for him. His potential should probably be upped one notch.
- Jordan Veretout and Adrien Trébel are firm first-team starters since the beginning of the season. Veretout has been followed by numerous big clubs (Chelsea and the like) and we only owe his strong affection for Nantes for him to still be a Nantes player. Many consider Trébel to be the best midfielder from the Nantes youth ranks since Toulalan.
They deserve at least 110-120 current ability, and much better mental attributes (Trebel should be at least an 18 in determination, he is a highly determined individual).
- Olivier Veigneau has won the best 2. BundesLiga left fullback award last season, and has proved to be one of our best, if not our best player since the start of the season. He runs a lot, provides a lot of solutions on the left wing or coming inside, and he's a more than decent defender, even if not so great in the aerial department. He deserves at least a 130 CA.
- Djordjevic has been by far our best striker last season (with Rodelin), he lacks professionalism, but he's got Ligue 1 potential for sure : powerful, he's a great target man, and one of the fastest of the team too ; and he's got good finishing skills. He too deserves at least 130 CA, and about 150 PA.
- Djilobodji has improved greatly this summer, he lacks concentration but he's a physical monster, and he's got good technique and good game vision. When he gets rid of his bad habits (playing long balls too often, and diving into savage tackles, mainly), which he's done so far this season, he's arguably one of our best defenders.
Landry Chauvin says he's our biggest potential yet. He too deserves somewhere around 150 potential, and a CA of about 120-125.
- Ismaël Keita's current ability is way over the top. He's a good lad with good mental abilities and a good learning curve, but he's nowhere near professional football for now.
- Levy Djidji is deemed one of our biggest potentials together with Vincent Sasso at the central defender position. Chauvin values him greatly, just like others have in the past. I'd rate him at least a 90 CA with pace, strength and positioning, and a -8 potential.
- Omar Benzerga's potential and current ability should be lowered by several notches. He can't even seem to be up to the task of earning a spot in the CFA2 side atm - edit : just when I write that he starts a game and does well in CFA2... As a central defender. Which is not really surprising considering that was his main position when he was considered one of France's brightest talents, and he was against the likes of... Kévin Barré for a spot in the french national youth teams.
Since he has been way too slow (both at running and technically speaking) to ever perform at midfield since he signed for Nantes, maybe we could give him another shot with a main position as a (slow) central defender with good aerial ability and a good passing ability, without changing his CA or PA, that seemed to work well for him yesterday anyway.
- Same goes for Bruno Cheyrou's CA. He's been disappointing and has few chances of playing at all this season. His first few games got him out of the side and he's merely a substitute right now. Slow and poor in the stamina department, even Wiltord and his 37 years are in better shape.
- Issa Cissokho's current ability should be upped to his potential ability. He's proven a more than decent substitute, and a very versatile one at that (he was formed as a left-back like his brother Aly, but played mostly as a left winger at Carquefou ; and he's right-footed, which means he's equally at ease at the right-back and right-winger positions, which he's proven in a couple games this season already).
- Erwin Zelazny's CA should be improved a bit, around the 105 mark. He's made visible improvements and it's only due to the start-of-season hierarchy that he hasn't taken advantage of Rudy Riou's poor run of form to take the number 1 spot while it lasted.
He's scheduled by Chauvin to become the n°1 GK next season.
- Granddi Ngoyi has been a key player for L1's Stade Brestois last six months of previous season, and Alex Dupont can't stop lauding him according to Nantes journalists. Chauvin likes him a lot too (both as a player and as a lad) and so far he's been very solid on the pitch, powerful, anticipates well, tends to be at the right place at the right time, stays on his feet to defend, plays short simple passes and on occasion pushes his actions forward with good results - for instance, an assist for Wiltord last game while we were 10vs11.
He probably deserves a bit of a better CA (125-130) and 150+ potential.
And by the way, it has been said by several journalists (including while talking to Chauvin who didn't correct them) that there is a transfer clause on his loan, even if we don't have much more details about it. He himself speaks of staying at Nantes in the long term (
« Je suis prêté un an, mais je m'inscris dans le projet nantais, dans la perspective de rester ici. »)
- Mohamed Diallo is right-footed and can play on the right wing aswell, he does in the reserve anyway.
- Vincent Bessat can play as a central midfielder, he's done so to replace Trébel a couple times as a left central midfielder (3-men midfield with two "8" in front of an anchor - N'Goyi).
